The Discovery Mast climb is an amazing guided experience on the mast of the last three masted sail ship built in the UK, a ship that has an amazing history intertwined with some of the most famous people and stories that embarked on Antarctic exploration.
We are seeking exceptional freelance staff to deliver this unique adventure. As part of our team, you'll deliver an exhilarating journey up the mast and across the Yard arm using original methods used by sailors for ascending the rigging with safety backup, before descending via zip line lower back to the quayside.
This isn’t your typical high ropes course. With elements of via ferrata, amazing exposure, and complex group management and rescue techniques, this experience demands skilled professionals who thrive under challenge.
You'll also share the fascinating stories behind the iconic ship and its exploratory crew—an awe-inspiring fusion of history, exploration and maritime architecture.The events are a mix of supporting a wide range of charities that aim to generate 100's of thousands of pounds for worthy causes each year, and museum visitors keen to explore the challenges and life sailors endured.

Each session for the participants last around 90 minutes (including kit-up and de-kit)
