Jono Buckland
With over a decade of experience as an instructor and manager in Outdoor Education Centres across Aberdeen and the Highlands, Jono went on to combine his passion for adventure and community impact to found Zone Events. His goal is simple — to create unforgettable experiences atop some of the UK’s most iconic structures and in its wildest places, while supporting as many charities as possible along the way.
Jess Russell
Jess is the driving force behind Zone Events’ business development, building strong relationships with new charities and corporate partners. With a rich history in event management and business development spanning four continents, she excels in logistics, planning, and resource coordination. Jess keeps the operation running seamlessly, ensuring every project is delivered with professionalism and precision.
Rich Parker
Rich Parker brings exceptional expertise to the team, holding both IRATA Level 3 and Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor (WMCI) qualifications. This combination gives him the technical mastery to rig complex aerial challenges and the coaching and management skills to support and inspire inexperienced participants. With Rich every experience is delivered, confidently, and with professionalism.
Jon Sanders
Jon Sanders is a highly skilled Winter Mountain Climbing Instructor (WMCI) with an extensive portfolio of advanced water-rescue and adventure qualifications. As well as being Team Leader for Tayside mountain rescue, he also trains Scottish Mountain Rescue teams in technical rigging. Jon works in strategic partnership with Zone Events through his company, Adventure Course Construction to develop our aerial installations, ensuring expertly engineered experiences.

Scott Brooks
Scott brings a rare blend of technical skill and operational experience to Zone Events. His expertise spans event construction, rigging, leading staff teams and managing complex water-safety operations at our Beast Race event. A Mountain Climbing Instructor (MCI) and active member of Cairngorm Mountain Rescue, Scott is also a core contributor to our aerial installation projects, delivering safe, robust, and reliable builds.
